2 Man Scramble

23 – 24 April 2016

Well no one can complain about the weather for the weekend. Upper 70's to mid 80's both days with light winds. The greens look the best they have in the last three years and its still early in the season. The fairways were a little rough, but they were fertilized Wednesday and the rains projected for Thursday did not arrive. The Tournament committee told all players to move the ball to the nearest grass and smack away.

Hamburgers were available prior to the start at a cost of $3.00 with a soda. A good way to start the round, which started at exactly 1 pm (wonders never cease, everyone showed up on time).

Happy hour was started at 6 PM and the dinner @ 6:30. Dinner was Pulled Pork, Potato Salad, Coleslaw and desert.

The scores were a little lower then I expected for a 2 Man Scramble with Eli Taylor and his partner Hobart taking First Place in the championship flight with a total of 133. Arl Taylor and Dana Studdard shot lights out on Sunday (Improved by 9 Strokes) and were bumped up from the first flight to the companionship flight where they tied for 2nd place. Since there were no disqualification rules outlined before the start of the tournament, the President decide to pay both 2nd place finishers in the championship flight as well as the third place team.

Once again the Tournament President wishes to thank everyone who participated and helped make this event work. The Photos below were provided by Mike Spalding.
